The association was established based on the will and consensus of experts, scientists, specialists, and scholars in microelectronics in the country.
Considering the will and consensus of the elites, scientists, specialists, and experts in microelectronics in the country, as well as the country's determination to involve scientific associations, elites, and scholars in organizing top international conferences, symposia, and research gatherings, and leveraging the capabilities of Iranian scientists and elites worldwide, alongside the country's needs and requirements in the field of microelectronics, and the necessity of having a space for discussion and decision-making in an interactive and collective environment, the Iran Microelectronics Association was established with the efforts of a number of experienced experts and faculty members from technical and engineering universities. It was officially founded with the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology on the 18th of Khordad, 1392 (June 8, 2013). After the formation of the association and obtaining a sample version of the statute from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the final version of the statute was prepared, approved, and ratified by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
